Dysmenorrhea Envisioned is a artistic exploration into the sensation of menstrual pain. This feeling varies from person to person however when complications such as Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome are present, this sensation can be unbearable. This Chapter aims to shed light on the sever discomfort experienced by those with medical conditions exacerbated by menstruation which often go undiagnosed for approximately 8 years from the onset of symptoms. This visual narrative gives a raw and honest interpretation of Dysmenorrhea in hope to show those who suffer that they are not alone and it is okay to speak up and ask for help with managing their menstrual pain from a medical professional.
