Menstruation Beyond The Binary

Menstruation Beyond the Binary is a visual narrative exploring menstruation through and editorial lens.  These images represent a range of gender identities with the common theme of menstruation. This inclusive collection aims to break down the taboo of openly discussing this and create something which shows that menstruation is not limited to just cis-gender women. 

Menstruation can look different for each individual therefore it is important to showcase the different identities within this. Through showing menstruation on a range of genders whilst also omitting gender entirely through still life the focus is on the Menstruation Conversation and how open communication, support, and representation is the important factor within this campaign. 

As the activist Kenny Jones states, 'Not all women menstruate, and not all people who menstruate are women'.
